第五期学生故事分享来啦。10年级的蒋同学从自己的个人经历出发，和大家讲一讲"Reflective"的故事。

2、 期末临近，考试小妙招，请查收 Please Check These Tips for the Final Exam

期末考试临近，同学们有准备好吗？是否还是对复习摸不着头绪呢？不要怕，老师们来支招啦。诙谐幽默的沈老师从上课、备考、考试过程中三方面给同学们不少小妙招。数学的何老师指导同学门如何去学习并使用新知识，学会融会贯通。艺术音乐老师们则带领大家回顾了本学期的收获，学会反思，学会精进。这些小妙招收藏起来、用起来吧。

The final exam is approaching. Are you ready for it? Are you still unclear about the review? Don't be afraid, our teachers are coming to help. The humorous teacher Dr. Bob Shen gave the students a lot of tips from the three aspects: during classes, test preparation and examination process. Miss Scarlett He, Mathematics teacher, instructed students about how to learn and use new knowledge, and learn to master everything. Art and music teachers led us to review the harvest of this semester, learn to reflect and learn to improve. Please keep these small tips and use them.

3、 用冥想开启新一周 Meditation to relax, Fresh to New Week

新的一周开始了，还没准备好怎么办？上课状态不行怎么办？放轻松，别紧张，金牌正念教师郁老师来帮忙啦。什么是正念冥想呢？正念冥想，有时也被称为正念减压法，是一种非宗教形式的冥想，基本上也是一种心智训练，可以帮助我们平静自己的心灵，活在当下。伴随着舒缓的音乐，郁老师带领老师和同学们放松身躯、放空思绪，以崭新的状态迎接新的一周。

The new week begins. What if you are not ready? What if you are not well-prepared? Relax and don't be nervous. Mr. Oscar Yu, the gold medal mindfulness teacher, is here to help. What is mindfulness meditation? Mindfulness meditation, sometimes called mindfulness decompression, is a non-religious form of meditation. It is basically a kind of mental training, which can help us calm our minds and live in the present. Accompanied by soothing music, Mr. Oscar Yu led the teachers and students to relax, empty their minds, and welcome the new week.

4、 国际少儿美术大赛双金奖 Double Golden Medals from ICAC

本周，G10C的丁懿同学收到了国际少儿美术大赛组委会传来的好消息，丁懿同学参赛的两幅作品《喵届向日葵》和《霞日辉光》在此次大赛中均取得了金奖的好成绩。丁同学用她对美育、美学的理解创作出来出彩的作品，吸引了众多评委及观众们的眼光。来欣赏一下丁同学的作品吧。

This week, Yalena Ding from G10C received good news from the Organizing Committee of the International Children's Art Competition. The two works of Yalena Ding, "Sunflower of the Meow" and "Glow of the Sunset", both won the gold medal in the competition. Yalena created brilliant works with her understanding of aesthetic education and aesthetics, which attracted the eyes of many judges and audiences. Let's enjoy Yalena’s works.

5、 G10跨学科分享：化学 Chemistry Sharing of the G10 Transition Program

10年级的跨学科项目化学分项进行到了汇报阶段。汇报中，我们可以看到，同学们学会了利用搜索引擎去查阅火箭制作、点火、运行阶段内所需要的化学材料，如燃料等。他们运用自己所学去计算、去了解、去分析。一个跨学科项目，帮助学生们锻炼了能力的同时，也在疫情阶段给他们带来了不同的课程体验。

The chemistry part of the G10 interdisciplinary transition program moved into the reporting stage. In the report, we can see that the students learned to use the search engine to examine the chemical materials needed in the rocket production, ignition and operation stages, such as fuel. They use what they have learned to calculate, investigate and analyze. An interdisciplinary project helps students exercise their abilities and also brings them different learning experiences during the COVID lockdown.

6、 G10跨学科分享：物理 Physics Sharing of the G10 Transition Program

在G10跨学科项目中，学生们同时作为营销团队和工程团队参与太阳系火箭飞船之旅。从他们的作品中，我们可以发现当他们考虑太空飞行的实际情况和技术方面时，他们将如何向消费者宣传这次旅行。在电子表格中，G10 的李同学在模拟火箭穿过太阳系的运动方面率先做了一份详细的研究。本周开始，10年级的其他同学们也将会开始进行分享，一起期待一下吧。

In the G10 transition program, students are working as both the marketing team and engineering team for a rocket ship tour in the solar system. Their works represent how they will advertise the trip to consumers as they consider practical and technical aspects of space flight. In the spreadsheet, G10 Frank has a head start on modelling the rocket's motion through the solar system. The rest of G10 will begin this analysis this week.

7、 班会课：在线教学反思与改进 Homeroom Meeting: Reflection and Improvements for the Online Classes

线上的班会课可以做些什么呢？长时间的封闭管理和线上教学消耗了同学们很多的精力。班会课就是老师和同学们沟通、交流这段时间大家的所得所思的时候了。老师们非常关心同学们的学习状态、学习的效率，并根据他们的回复给出有效的建议，为接下来一个月的学习和复习做好准备，让同学们保持最优状态；同时，也根据同学们的反馈调整课程方案和作业布置的情况，共同努力。

What can online class meetings do? The long-term lockdown and online teaching consumed a lot of energy of the students. Class meeting is the time for teachers and students to communicate and exchange what they have learned and thought during this period. The homeroom teachers are very concerned about the students' progresses and efficiency of learning, and give useful suggestions according to students’ questions. They also helped students prepare for the next month's study and review, and keep them in the best condition. At the same time, teachers also adjusted the course plans and assignments according to the students' feedback.

8. 11年级首次EE反思 G11 1st reflection

11年级同学在本周完成了EE（拓展论文）第一次反思。反思在EE研究和写作中非常重要。EE一共有三次一对一的反思，分别在学生提交了研究草案、已经完成了一部分研究以及向IB提交了EE终稿这三个阶段进行。反思不仅关系到EE评分中的“参与”这一标准的评分，影响到EE论文的质量，更重要之处在于提升学生的学习能力，培养ib learner profile中的学习者的特质。在第一次反思中，指导老师对不同学科的要求和评分标准进行回顾，确保学生的研究符合IB的伦理要求，老师和学生对论文的选题、研究方向、方法论展开对话和反思。

G11 DP students have completed the EE 1st formal reflection during this week. Student reflection in the extended essay is critical. There are three formal reflections during the research and wring of Extended Essay. The 1st reflection happens after the student send their supervisor an outline of their research proposal. The interim one happens after the student submits a completed piece of sustained writing. The final reflection occurs after the submission of the EE final draft to IB. Effective reflection highlights the engagement of the student in an intellectual and personal process and affected the completion of that individual’s essay and how this has developed the ATL skills and changed the student as a learner. In the 1st reflection, a review of the requirements and assessment criteria for the subject and a review of ethical and legal implications happened between the supervisor and the students. The dialogue also includes the reflection of the research question, direction and methodology.
