The 2018 World Cup is about to draw its curtain. In response to this, students from ECNUAS Primary School Football Team made their debut at Huazheng Qingfeng Teenager Cup and won the first match on June 9. Hosted by East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL) and supported by Jinshan Huazheng Football Club, Jiading Educational Bureau, Jinshan Educational Bureau as wellas Songjiang Educational Bureau, this competition had 8 primary school football teams participating. Scoring 12 goals and conceding none, ECNUAS Football Team won the first match with flying colors. After a whole day’s competition, they took the third place with 2 wins and 1 loss. By playing football, asport that requires fierce competition and tight cooperation, students can strengthen their body and mind. The complexity of football training enable students to quickly react, judge and observe the pitch situation, making them more agile in thinking. Working with Shanghai Jinshan Huazheng Football Club this year, ECNUAS plans to set football as the compulsory and elective courses for primary school students. It fits the “whole person” educational philosophy in our school, making art, music and physical education equal subjects along with the main subjects. We believe in the future, our students will achieve more.
